Six Sigma Digest Signs 10 More Instructors

Over the past 2 weeks, Six Sigma Digest has been working diligently behind the scenes in an effort to add a dozen exceptional Master Black Belt instructors. Today we are happy to announce the signing of ten more unbelievably well qualified Six Sigma professionals bringing our team to a total of eleven . Read more about each one by clicking on their name.

"This effort is focused on bringing together a wonderful community of experienced and knowledgeable instructors who will offer unprecedented value to all Six Sigma Digest students with particular attention being paid to students who pay for instruction with their training course.

All of our instructors will offer "virtual" office hours on a weekly basis. During these times, they will be logged into our Learning Management System and available to all students for Q&A through chat, forums or internal messaging.

Additionally, each instructor will be providing a 60 min. web conference each month that will be open to all students and the public. Instructors may cover any topic included in our Green Belt or Black Belt curriculum during the first 30 min. of the conference. Web conferences will then conclude with a 30 min. open dialog Q&A session.

My desire of uniquely building the most respectable and affordable online training program is becoming a reality with the addition of these instructors. They each offer a wealth of knowledge and experience to all of our students, this value is unmatched anywhere in the online training & certification community."

Six Sigma Digest Registers with the U.S. Copyright Office

As of Aug 29, 2011 Six Sigma Digest has filed its Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt and Yellow Belt Training curricula with the U.S. Copyright Office. Although registrations are not required in order for works to be copyright protected, registration with the U.S. Copyright Office does provide some advantages.

Aside from establishing a public record, registration is required before filing any infringement lawsuits. Additionally, registrations filed within 3 months of publication provide for statutory damages and attorney's fees to be paid by the infringing party if a claimant files and wins any infringement case.

"Because Six Sigma Digest offers such high value licensed materials at rates that make them accessible to broad audiences, we believe it is necessary to be prepared to protect our intellectual property. Registration with the U.S. Copyright Office is a key step in our efforts to adequately protect these rights."

Six Sigma Digest's official publication date of its training and courseware is August 21, 2011.

Six Sigma Digest Chooses eFront

I would like to announce today that Six Sigma Digest has made the shift from Moodle to eFront for its online learning management system.

Moodle is an incredible open source LMS and I am extremely impressed with its capabilities, support infrastructure and security. However, I've always felt something did not match up with how I envision Six Sigma Digest.

I've been desiring a stronger element of simplicity for our users and I have also been seeking a more polished SCORM capability. I believe the perfect solution can be found in eFront. We'll find out soon enough if eFront is the right platform. Beta testing for our first courses should begin sometime before the end of June.
